Removing old paint during repair methods and features

How to remove old paint from the surface during repair

One of the problems arising during the repair is to remove the old paint.

There are several ways to remove the old paint from metal, wooden, concrete and other surfaces.

Hot water

First, we will deal with the simplest removal option – blurring using hot water and spatula. This method is applicable only for surfaces whitewashed with chalk or stained with water -based PVA -based paints. To begin with, the entire surface is wetted with a brush moistened in hot water, and then the remains are removed with a spatula. For complex areas from which the paint does not want to remove, you can apply a 3% vinegar solution. Moisten these areas and then clean the spatula.
