Is it worth paying attention to the indicators of watering when choosing tiles
The most important characteristic of ceramic tiles and the basis for the correct selection is the water absorption indicator.
The frost resistance of the tile and, accordingly, the field of application, as well as the choice of glue for tiles, depends on this indicator.
Depending on the water absorption, the tile can be:
Type I – with a low water absorption less than 3%: clinker tiles for facing walls and flooring indoors, floor, steps outside of buildings;
Type II-with an average water absorption of less than 6%: stone-ceramic tiles (floor tiles-terracotta), universal tiles for facing walls and floor;
Type III – with a high water absorption of more than 6%: glazed tiles – is used only for indoor cladding.
